Due to English Heritage led restoration of hotel frontage, the hotel’s main entrance on Granby Street will be closed until 31st May 2024.

Access to the hotel will be through the entrance at the rear of the property via our car park on Chatham Street.

Excellent Stay......... Stayed at the Mercure last week due to work. Beautiful lobby and bar area. The rest of the hotel has seen better days. However, deserves a five star review as the staff were great and the breakfast was hot and lovely, served again in the glorious lobby. Would be back. Shame the restaurant was closed because of pandemic.

Lovely stay Came to Leicester to meet friends and loved it. Mercure still has an old world charm and a lot of character. Not to mention the lovely staff. It is not perfect and our room could do with an uplift. However it would not stop us from coming back. Shame that the restaurant was closed due to pandemic. On the flip side hot breakfast was excellent.

Amazing Stay Had a lovely stay at The Grand Hotel centrally located and close to lot’s of Bars and Restaurants. The room was spacious and clean. Despite COVID situation, high standards are maintained. The Hotel interiors are very historic and Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Special mention for Emily from Reception, Thomas and Chef who made delicious Breakfast each morning. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again. Many Thanks Anshu

Good night sleep I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel after long journey. Shower pressure was good.king size bed room spotless clean. Breakfast was served in lounge and was made to other. Staff was very professional and polite .

OVERNIGHT STAY Stayed over for a night and was very cautious about staying in a hotel with the Covid situation, But all i can say is from check in to check out everything was done too the highest safety requirements and the staff where very helpful and the manager as well.
